The Balearic Island of Majorca impresses visitors with it's nigh on extravagant beauty. Here, guests are greeted by majestic mountain ranges, exotic beaches, charming stone villages and romantically meandering paths through olive and orange groves. Sunlight bathes the entire island in soft tones the whole year round. The almost perfect climate is ideal for a wide range of leisure activities, such as golf, hiking, mountain climbing and various beach- and sea-based sports. Majorca would not be such a paradisiacal destination, were it only to offer natural highlights. Palma de Mallorca's many historical sites and those of the surrounding towns and villages can be comfortably, quickly and easily accessed from the hotel. A stroll through the island's capital city alone leads visitors along small lanes and past exclusive shops, museums, such as the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, and the Castell de Bellver, before reaching the island's architectural highlight, the impressive La Seu cathedral. A trip along the coast of the island is also well worthwhile. The journey offers breathtaking views, whilst passing through romantic fishing villages, such as Santa Ponsa and Port Andratx, or the culturally unique Valldemossa, where the composer Frédéric Chopin and the author George Sand once spent time.
